Acquisition of The Technology Specialist, Inc. Brings New Suite of Services Across Region

With 46% of cyberattacks targeting small businesses, business leaders must enhance their technology to better protect their organizations and customers. The cost of inaction can make or break a business.

Adams Brown acquired Wichita-based The Technology Specialist, Inc. (TTS) and formed Adams Brown Technology Specialists. This new wholly owned subsidiary offers comprehensive managed IT, cybersecurity and technology solutions to safeguard company technology.

The move aligns with Adams Brown’s strategy to offer holistic services that extend beyond financial services in response to the ever-growing demand for technology support. Building upon the strong TTS foundation, Adams Brown Technology Specialists is uniquely positioned to ensure technology is aligned with business goals.

“While Adams Brown offered cybersecurity services, we are now able to offer deeper support for clients through managed IT services,” said Chris Schneider, CEO, Adams Brown Technology Specialists. “Our small business clients continually share their challenges with managing the ever-changing technology landscape. We’re now positioned to help in a larger way.”

TTS was founded by Shayne Yonce in 2007, who now serves as chief experience officer, where he ensures client success through projects, service and solution delivery.

“We were interested in aligning with Adams Brown because of our shared commitment to helping clients grow, innovate and align technology to their goals while maintaining the highest level of cybersecurity in an increasingly interconnected world,” said Yonce.

The acquisition was appealing to both parties considering the overlap in clients and industries served, including dental practices, manufacturing, agriculture and construction. There was also a strong commitment to maintain a client-centric approach underpinned by a shared culture and value system.

The average cyberattack costs a company around $200,000, a number that increases with size. This statistic drives increasing demand for technology services.
